Women's Day Will Be Celebrated in Kolkata by FASII With a National Seminar and Awards for Female Achievers

News Desk, News Nation 360: Federation of Associations of Small Industries of India (FASII), a premier federation of micro and rural industries in India, supported by the Government of India and led by Jawaharlal Nehru, is planning a major Women’s Day function and National Seminar on March 15, 2026, in Kolkata. The theme for the seminar, starting at 11:00 AM, will be “Women Entrepreneurs in Micro & Small Enterprises Sector – Opportunities & Challenges,” with a clear objective: “Closing the Gap between Women Entrepreneurs and Government Policymakers.” Since its inception in 1959, FASII has remained at the helm as the apex body for micro and rural industries in India. This Women’s Day function will provide a platform for interaction with Union and State Government officials, UCO Bank, and SIDBI on their schemes and policies for promoting digital growth in our country. Event Highlights: (1) Felicitations: Twelve women achievers will be honoured with mementoes and certificates for their achievements in their respective fields. (2) Livelihood Support: Fifteen sewing machines will be distributed among underprivileged women for their empowerment. (3) Industry Support: This Women’s Day function is supported by several prominent industries in our region, namely, Ganesh Complex (Ashok Bajoria), Hindcon Chemicals (Sanjay Goenka), and Medra Finvest (Dr Ajit Kumar Jain). (4) Community Recognition: Ten appreciation awards will be given away for their contributions toward the upliftment of our society. Notable Participants are renowned women like Susmita Mukherjee, Mou Sen, P.K. Das, and Anupam Gayen, will be present on this occasion, along with industry stalwarts like Dr Sankar Sanyal and Asit Chatterjee, among others, with FASII promoting its objective of protecting and promoting the interests of small-scale industries in our country, while promoting gender-neutral economic growth in our MSME sector.
