A Review of 2023 for GKB Opticals

The company made significant strides by renovating two of its prominent Kolkata stores and expanding its product offerings through collaborations with internationally renowned brands like Carrera Prowl, DITA, Tom Ford, and Zegna. Founded by Mr. Brijendra Kumar Gupta in 1959, GKB Opticals has solidified its position as a top provider of quality eyewear. To cater to evolving consumer preferences, they launched a special collection honouring Durga Puja and further diversified their offerings by partnering with the globally recognized eyewear brand DITA. This partnership was celebrated with a star-studded event in October 2023 at GKB Opticals' Quest Mall location in Kolkata. Earlier in the year, GKB Opticals unveiled the highly anticipated Carrera Prowl collection at their Inorbit Mall store in Mumbai, subsequently launching it in Gurgaon, Kolkata, and Chennai. The collection, known for its superior quality, durability, and functionality, was a popular addition and its launch was marked with a celebratory event in Kolkata. December brought the third edition of GKB Opticals' flagship event, Wedding Edit 3.0. This luxurious trunk show traveled to Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Mumbai, showcasing an exquisite collection of wedding-themed eyewear. GKB Opticals' curated selection of opulent pieces, designed specifically for lavish Indian weddings, attracted discerning luxury eyewear enthusiasts. Reflecting on the successful year, Priyanka Gupta, Director of Brands at GKB Opticals, expressed gratitude and highlighted the company's collaborations with top brands, store renovations, the launch of a new outlet catering to younger customers, and more. GKB Opticals is optimistic about continued growth in 2024, building upon the valuable lessons learned in recent years.
