SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : In a one-of-a-kind endeavour to provide space for meditation, refreshment, and meaningful engagement, over 20 Principals from prestigious schools in West Bengal gathered for a two-day experiential retreat at Jhore Jole Jongole, a quiet natural refuge hidden on the outskirts of the Sundarbans. Designed as a holistic getaway, the retreat provided school administrators with an opportunity to disconnect from the incessant pressures of academic administration and immerse themselves in nature, wellness, and cultural heritage. Prof Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson, Techno India Group and Co-Chancellor, Techno India

University, stated that educators nurture the future every day, often without taking time for themselves. This retreat at Jhore Jole Jongole was designed to provide school leaders with a meaningful respite, allowing them to rejuvenate, reconnect with nature, and engage in introspective conversations outside of their daily obligations. He is thrilled that principals from some of the state's most well-known schools could join together in this environment of learning, wellness, and community. This two-day retreat has been designed as an immersive journey in the Sundarbans, starting with a traditional welcome and lunch at the resort. Then, there is a Monoshij mental wellness session that will make the participants pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves. The first day flows into growth and sustainability with a symbolic plantation activity, sunset viewing over the mangroves, and closes with a culturally intimate evening of live Baul music, bonfire, tandoor snacks, and open-air dinner fostering warmth, storytelling, and camaraderie. The second day is well focused on wellness and wilderness: starting with sunrise tea, going for guided yoga, and then a talk on mindful nutrition, before a guided boat safari through the creeks and mangroves highlights the fragile ecological balance of Sundarbans. A visit to the Tiger Rescue Centre brings deeper insight into the world of wildlife rehabilitation and conservation, and the retreat closes with a group lunch, leaving participants refreshed, inspired, and closely bonded through shared reflective and nature-based experiences.
