The idols of Goddess Durga and her family were placed amidst lush green foliage, hanging roots, and a canopy of green plants, along with traditional pots and clay structures to create an earthy Bengali look. According to Subhadip Basu, Corporate General Manager of Retail & Hospitality at Merlin Group, the mall has incorporated its core green building philosophy into the theme of this year’s festive season to celebrate and spread awareness of the relationship between nature and life. The innovative aesthetic appeal of the theme resonated well with the festive shoppers. It conveyed the message that any grand celebration could be possible with an inclusive approach to making a green and sustainable planet.
