News Desk, News Nation 360 : In the distinguished presence of writer and translator Anjum Katyal and filmmaker and cultural commentator Sudeshna Roy, Club Fenicia organised An Ode to Tagore: An Evening of Conversations, a moving event that brought together voices from poetry, literature, and film to honour the women who inspired—and were inspired by—Rabindranath Tagore. Club Fenicia in Kolkata, which is Asia's largest luxury lounge showcasing India's rich intellectual and cultural heritage, recently hosted an evening with a discussion that looked at the lives of women such as Binodini Dasi and Kadambari Devi, and the strong female characters in Rabindranath Tagore's writings. The panel discussion with Anjum Katyal, Sudeshna Roy, and Paromita Ghosh talked about issues of love, liberty, revolt, and the still, strong determination of women. The event saw literature, history, and feminist readers converge upon it, providing an environment of reflection and inspiration and a reminder of Club Fenicia's association with cultural awareness, by Chairman Kunal Gupta's conviction that genuine sophistication lies in alignment with defining values and narratives. The night was a reflection of Fenicia's dream of honouring legacies that forge the collective consciousness.
