At the Excellence in Healthcare 2025 event, which was hosted in Kochi, Kerala, on January 31 and February 1st, 2025 and organised by the Association of Healthcare Providers (India)-AHPI, the hospital was presented with the prize. At the event, prominent healthcare organisations from all around India received recognition for their outstanding contributions to the healthcare industry. Narayana Hospital, Barasat, has become West Bengal's first and only hospital to get the Excellence in Emergency Services Award for its dedication to delivering high-quality emergency care and following NABH norms, which AHPI gave after assessing the hospital's KPIs, protocols, and quality measures; the hospital provides 24x7 emergency services backed by trained doctors, shift-based treatment, round-the-clock OT and cath lab facilities for cardiac and trauma emergencies, specialty consultations in different domains, 10 emergency beds, 2 isolation beds, and rigid, evidence-based protocols for emergency medication administration; with ambulances, an emergency helpline available 24x7, and trained manpower, Narayana Hospital provides holistic emergency treatment, and this was showcased at the Excellence in Healthcare 2025 event, emphasizing the hospital's position as a leader in delivering quick, life-saving interventions through advanced technology and trained professionals. In response to the award, Subhashish Bhattacharya, Director, Narayana Hospital, Barasat, stated that this honour is a tribute to their community's ongoing support and the steadfast dedication of their medical staff. This demonstrates their steadfast dedication to offering comprehensive care, but more significantly, it demonstrates their patients' trust. Their goal has always been to deliver the best possible care, especially during emergencies when time and experience are of the essence. This honour encourages them to improve their emergency services even more so that they can continue to lead the way in providing life-saving treatment to residents of Barasat and beyond.
