News Desk, News Nation 360 : Bengal's immense plains and soil are inscribed with the songs of their ancestors. "Bhramara," a centre for folk cultural practice, has been dedicated to gathering and conserving those tunes since 1962. Bengali folk melodies are now celebrated thanks to the unwavering efforts of the organisation's visionary leader, Shivabrata Karmakar; Bhramara is continuing this tradition. A wonderful gathering was planned to further this tradition. In addition to the soul-stirring sounds of Amanat Fakir and Reena Das Baul, special guests Chandana Majumdar and Kiran Chandra Roy graced the occasion. Subrata Roy, the director of the Kalyani Roy Memorial Trust, was also present. Bhramara showcased a carefully selected selection of Bengal's almost extinct folk tunes on this particular occasion.
