News Desk, News Nation 360 : At a star-studded ceremony held at a prestigious city hotel on Monday, 802 cricket players were drafted in the Men's Draft of the Bengal Pro T20 League Season 2, marking a significant milestone for Bengal cricket. The dazzling event highlighted the league's rising prominence and its crucial role in determining cricket's future in the area. The Bengal Pro T20 League has just conducted its fierce and tactical player draft in which eight vibrant franchisees like Sobisco Smashers Malda, Adamas Howrah Warriors, ServoTech Siliguri Strikers, Harbour

Diamonds, Shrachi Rarh Tigers, Lux-Shyam Kolkata Royal Tigers, Murshidabad Kings, and Rashmi Medinipur Wizards selected their teams. The occasion was attended by notable cricketers like CAB President Snehasish Ganguly, Vice President Amalendu Biswas, Secretary Naresh Ojha, Treasurer Prabir Chakrabarty, and Joint Secretary Debabrata Das, apart from Indian cricket legends Sourav Ganguly and former Indian women's captain Jhulan Goswami, apart from other past international cricketers and CAB members. One of the big positives for the day was that ace Indian bowler Md Shami was picked by the Shrachi Rarh Tigers, immediately strengthening their pace attack. The Bengal Pro T20 League members were also in attendance to facilitate smooth conduct. Providing a distinct cultural flavour, Arivaa Sports honoured Bengal's literary tradition by incorporating the iconic cartoon figure "Bantul The Great" of Narayan Debnath into the branding of the League through a tie-up with Deep Prakashan, giving rise to a moment of Bengali cricket and comics pride.
