SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : The holy Gangasagar Mela is visited annually by millions of pilgrims from all over India, including West Bengal, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Haryana, Rajasthan, and Punjab. For local government, controlling the enormous crowd and guaranteeing pilgrims' safety continue to be among the most difficult tasks. Bharat Sevashram Sangha has started a massive preparatory drive for this year's fair in order to avoid mishaps and offer prompt help. Over 1,500 trained volunteers will be deployed this year, according to General Secretary Swami Viswatmananda Maharaj at a press conference at the Sangha's headquarters. These volunteers have already started working at Sagar Island, directing pilgrims down secure paths and providing prompt support to anyone having trouble in the throng. Pilgrims will be urged to wear life jackets when taking a river bath, according to Swami Viswatmananda. To save anyone unintentionally caught in strong currents, committed rescue teams will be on standby. For the comfort and security of pilgrims, more than 200 primary medical facilities and more than 5,000 night shelters are being established. Bharat Sevashram Sangha reaffirmed that its objective is to guarantee pilgrims' safety and seamless participation in the Gangasagar pilgrimage by means of compassionate service and disciplined coordination.
