News Desk, News Nation 360 : To recognise the outstanding service and professional quality of its employees, the Border Security Force (BSF) held a special medal presentation event at the State Bank Institute of Leadership, Financial Hub, New Town, Kolkata. Twenty-one BSF members received the President's Medal for Meritorious Service at this event in honour of their exceptional commitment and model service. Dr C.V. Ananda Bose, Honourable Governor of West Bengal, was the chief guest at a prestigious event to felicitate BSF personnel. Inspector General (HR), Eastern Command, Rakesh Ranjan Lal, and Inspector General, South Bengal Frontier, Bhupendra Singh, were present at the event. The event felicitated 10 serving and 11 retired Jawans of BSF for their outstanding performance. Senior officers, jawans, and retired as well asfamily members of BSF personnel attended in large numbers. They showed collective pride and respect towards the felicitated persons. The event marked BSF's tradition of paying homage to service, sacrifice and performance. The President's Medal for Meritorious Service is awarded to members of the Central Armed Police Forces. The medal honours immense devotion to duty, courage, and sustained excellence. It is one of the force's highest honours. A strict and transparent selection process determines who receives the medal. A high-level committee carefully scrutinises and evaluates nominees. The medal represents professionalism, integrity, and service performance. Jawans, their families, and serving and retired BSF officers, subordinate officers, and jawans marked the event with pride and fervour. The event was an ode to meritorious service and marked BSF's shining traditions and core values of duty, discipline, and selflessness.
