Calcutta Girls' High School Commemorates its Milestone with the Benediction

The celebration exemplified the school's long-standing dedication to developing strong, confident, and socially responsible young women via values-based education. The program began with a dramatic initial dance performance that represented grace, courage, and the progression of womanhood, followed by a brief address that highlighted the institution's tradition of developing strong and socially responsible young women. The program began with a powerful introduction dance representing grace, courage, and the unfolding path of femininity, followed by a brief address commemorating the school's record of developing empowered, socially responsible young women. The cultural centrepiece of the evening was the dance drama “The Benediction”, a tribute to trailblazing women who have inspired the institution and society across generations, which the audience praised for its evocative storytelling and its strong message of resilience, empowerment, and leadership. Reflecting the spirit of the occasion, Principal & Secretary Basanti Biswas shared that as they commemorate Calcutta Girls' High School's 170th anniversary, they remember not only their rich history, but also the numerous young ladies whose lives began here. Their commitment has always been to develop brains, deepen ideals, and enable every girl to rise with confidence, compassion, and purpose. The celebration honours the past, celebrates the present, and commits to the future.
