News Desk, News Nation 360 : On World Environment Day, 1,000 households received 6,000 medicinal plants from the Manmathpur Pranab Mandir campus, a rural service centre of Bharat Sevashram Sangha located in the Rabindra Gramme Panchayat area of Kakdwip Block, South 24 Parganas district. Furthermore, over a hundred mothers promised to establish a collaborative Panchavati Garden by planting diverse medicinal saplings together. On this auspicious occasion, the West Bengal Medicinal Plant Board donated 5,000 medicinal saplings, while the West Bengal Forest Department offered 1,000 saplings. Swami Sudamananda of the Sangha attended the celebration, as did Medical Officer Dr Sumit Sur and Assistant Director of Defence Estates Shailendra Nath Pandey. This one-of-a-kind program involved planting trees in unoccupied spots throughout Rabindra Gramme Panchayat and the Manmathpur Pranab Mandir region.
