News Desk, News Nation 360: Recently, Merlin Group organised free eye screening camps at their major workplaces, namely Acropolis Joka and World Trade Centre (WTC) in Sector V. The company aimed to promote preventive health care among their workforce. In association with Rotary Mahanagar Netrayalay and ASG Eye Hospital, the event reached almost 500 people. The staff underwent thorough eye tests that included cataract tests and tests for visual acuity. At Acropolis Joka, 174 staff members underwent eye tests, while 64 staff members received free glasses. At WTC, 305 workers underwent eye tests, resulting in 123 pairs of corrective glasses being provided to the staff. The doctors not only diagnosed the problems but also gave individual advice on the importance of eye nutrition. They also gave eye exercises that help reduce eye strain. Saket Mohta, the Managing Director of Merlin Group, said that these eye screening camps are a major part of their focus on employee health care. He further added that the company also provides cataract surgeries for those in need through their hospital partners. By providing high-end diagnostic facilities at its workplaces, Merlin Group is trying to bridge the gap for its workforce.
