News Desk, News Nation 360 : With its aggressive expansion ambitions, Godrej Interio—one of the top brands of office and home furnishings in India and a division of Godrej & Boyce, a business of Godrej Enterprises Group—aims to increase its market share and growth. By August 2024, the business hopes to have over 1,000 Interio furniture stores, with an additional 120,000 square feet of retail space. In fiscal year 2025, the company will open 104 new locations, a major step forward in its goal of bringing exquisite, sophisticated, and well-designed furniture within the reach of contemporary Indian homes. With this significant growth, Godrej Interio is now at the forefront of the market thanks to its strategic focus on modular furniture, extensive omnichannel presence, thorough consumer behaviour research (including the HomeScapes study), and consultative
showroom experiences. Forecasts indicate that the Indian furniture market, estimated to be worth US$ 23.12 billion in 2022, would expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 10.9% to reach US$ 32.7 billion by 2026. Godrej Interio intends to add more than 2,00,000 square feet of retail space in FY25 and anticipates a 20% growth this year. August will see the company cross 1,000 locations, which will be a big turning point in its expansion strategy. Commenting on the Retail Expansion, Dr Dev Narayan Sarkar, Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Business (B2C) at Godrej Interio stated that their mission is to provide their consumers with an enhanced home furnishing experience through the integration of state-of-the-art technical advances and broad retail expansion. They are changing the perception of how Indians connect with their furniture as well as expanding their footprint by greatly boosting their physical touchpoints. Their countrywide expansion strategy calls for the opening of 34, 24, 19, and 27 additional stores in the northern, western, southern, and eastern regions, respectively. These new stores will act as centres of inspiration, exhibiting how visually appealing products with tech integration can improve lives and add versatility to contemporary Indian interior design.
