Golden Jubilee Year Inauguration of Swami Pranabananda Vidyapith at Tollygunge

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Rasa Shishu Sandipak KG, an English-medium school, was founded in 1975 in Wireless Park in Tollygunge with just 17 pupils. It later changed its name to Swami Pranabananda Vidyapith under the direction of the Bharat Sevashram Sangha. Swami Pranabananda Vidyapith is one of the schools run by Bharat Sevashram Sangha, recently observed its 50th year with inauguration of Golden Jubilee Year by Swami Vishwatmananda Ji Maharaj, General Secretary of Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Swami Bhajanananda Ji Maharaj from Canada Sevashram Sangha, and West Bengal's Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Arup Biswas.

The institution, which today comprises 150 teachers and employees as well as 3,500 students, has grown extensively over time since its inception. It was upgraded to a junior high school in 1998 and then to a higher secondary school in 2002. The festival was graced with the grand presence of Swami Sanghatmananda Ji Maharaj, the Secretary of the institution, Supriya Talukdar, Principal of the morning section, Mausumi Goswami, Acting Head, Higher Secondary; many more on the guest list. Swami Vishwatmananda Ji Maharaj stated that in addition to academic instruction, the school emphasises extracurricular activities, physical education, and moral principles to help pupils become perfect people.
