News Desk, News Nation 360 : NIP NGO, an education & Cultural Centre for the Blind & other Differently Abled in collaboration with Forum for Durgotsab, Saini International School, and Rotary Club of District 3291 have developed an awards program for Puja committees that are making an effort to make their pandals accessible to the elderly and disabled. A total of 250 Durga Puja Committees will be participating in this initiative. For three puja pandals, they have also introduced a Braille Display Stand for the Blinds. Additionally, it has been planning several awareness camps in various West Bengali districts and areas of Kolkata. NIP seeks to provide all-around assistance to
blind and differently-abled people. It has also been hosting T-20 Cricket Tournaments for the Blind and the All Bengal Chess Competition. Prominent figures such as actor Biswajit Chakraborty, Tollywood actor Bobby Chakraborty, chairman of the Forum for Durgotsab Partha Ghosh, CEO of Saini Group Tapan Pattanayak, past president of Rotary International District 3291 Sibabrata Roy, past president of the Rotary Club of Ballygunge Ashif Shah, secretary of NIP NGO Debajyoti Roy, and many more graced the occasion. Speaking to the media, Debajyoti Roy, Secretary of NIP NGO stated that in addition to being a duty, fostering an inclusive atmosphere is a celebration of mankind as a whole. They are making a significant step towards ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, can fully experience the excitement and spirit of Durga Puja with the installation of the Braille Display Stand. This project is proof of what they can accomplish when they band together with compassion and a goal in mind.
