began this special Puja festival, paving the way for this year's new theme, "Naryal Katha," and unveiling the mascot, Naru Da, to encourage youths to view culture in terms of care for the environment as well as creative artistry. This year's pandal will be unique in being made almost exclusively of coconut and its numerous by-products—like coconut ropes, shavings, charcoal, and husk—exactly replicating the theme through exhibitionism of regeneration and sustainability. Students of Techno India Group are actively engaged in the designing and making of the pandal, contributing their creative skills, contemporary craftsmanship, and complete dedication to green-friendly practices. By working together, the puja hopes to mesh tradition and modern values, creating an energetic celebration of both cultural heritage and innovative forward thinking. Meghdut Roychowdhury, Founder of Make Calcutta Relevant Again, stated that the goal of Onyo Pujo was to reimagine the ancient customs in a way that appeals to today's young and the future environment. They needed to bring the legacy into line with the pressing need for sustainability. This project, in his opinion, cleared the path for a more responsible and creative future.
