News Desk, News Nation 360: With the inauguration of its East Region Scholarship Programme 2026, Malabar Gold & Diamonds has committed ₹1.8 crore to help 2,000 deserving students in Odisha, West Bengal, and Jharkhand. On April 8, 2026, Odisha's Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo officially launched this program at Rama Devi Women's University in Bhubaneswar. The group is concentrating on human resource development by dedicating ₹114 crore to education as part of a wider ₹200 crore National CSR commitment for the 2026–2027 fiscal year, which was presented in New Delhi by Union Minister Piyush Goyal. The East India expansion comprises 592 micro-learning centres in collaboration with the Pratham Education Foundation, benefiting more than 22,000 students in the area, in addition to scholarships for 33,000 female students nationwide. With over 600 drinking water wells built throughout the three Eastern states to promote long-term community resilience, Chairman M. P. Ahammad stressed that the organisation, which donates 5% of its net trading profit to social welfare, is still committed to the "Hunger Free World" project and sustainable water stewardship.
