Merlin Group Donates 10 E-bikes to Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Merlin Group formally donated 10 cutting-edge Chetak 3501 model e-bikes to the Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate, marking a significant step towards promoting sustainable urban policing and improving public safety. The handover ceremony took place in New Town in the presence of Shri Mukesh, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Bidhannagar; Dr Badana Varun Chandra Sekhar, IPS, Joint Commissioner of Police (HQ); Manav Singla, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, New Town Division; Mahesh Das, IC of Narayanpur police station and senior police officials; Vikash Memani, Director of Merlin Group; and Rajkumar Dey, a senior Manager of Land and Business Development, Merlin Group. Merlin Group's strategy to deploy e-bikes is an important component of their CSR commitment to enhancing community welfare, smart mobility, and policing infrastructure in rapidly increasing metropolitan areas such as New Town. These electric bikes will be carefully placed in residential neighbourhoods, shopping malls, IT clusters, parks, metro stations, and other high-traffic public locations. Their agility and speed, along with zero-emission operation, will improve patrolling efficiency and allow for faster response times in areas that traditional patrol vehicles cannot reach, increasing overall community safety and security. Expressing Merlin Group’s commitment to sustainable community development, Saket Mohta, Managing Director, Merlin Group, stated that Merlin Group believes that developing a better city extends beyond real estate. It entails supporting the systems that keep communities safe and cities green.
