SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk, News Nation 360 : India has made sure that its households continue to have access to LPG despite a global energy shock that has disrupted fuel availability and caused shortages in a number of locations, maintaining stability at scale under difficult external conditions. Despite having a 60% reliance on imports of LPG and also being susceptible to any disruptions at the Strait of Hormuz, India's Government has ensured stability within the entire LPG ecosystem of India. From March 1, 2026, onwards, there have been more than 18 crore cylinders delivered, with a daily average delivery of 60 lakh cylinders, each one being delivered to its respective consumer within only three days. Through a combination of efforts by increasing the number of global suppliers and improving domestic production, India has managed to keep potential disruptions at bay, ensuring any delays are temporary and rectified with increased monitoring from the ground level. Moreover, well-planned policies have ensured that the households, especially those under the scheme called Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), stay insulated from any price instability.
