News Desk, News Nation 360: The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has unveiled an interactive Experience Centre at its Head Office here in Mumbai today, inaugurated by Shri Sanjay Lohiya, Secretary, Department of Financial Services (DFS), Government of India, to encapsulate the development journey of NABARD, narrate rural success stories and showcase various interventions pan-India through a blend of physical and digital exhibits. The event was graced by the presence of NABARD Chairman Dr Shaji Krishnan V., Deputy Managing Directors Shri Goverdhan S. Rawat, Dr Ajay K. Sood and Shri Rakesh Kashyap, along with DFS Director Smt. Shwetha Rao B. The Experience Centre bears testimony to the transformation journey of NABARD from being a specialised agency for refinancing of agriculture to a Development Financial Institution (DFI) promoting climate-smart agriculture, self-help groups (SHG), rural infrastructure financing, digital financial inclusion and more; while addressing the gathering on the occasion, Dr Shaji Krishnan V. stated that the Centre would act as a converging platform for the central and state governments, research organisations, agri-tech start-ups and entrepreneurs, promoting technology and innovation for rural India’s sustainable development.
