News Desk, News Nation 360 : Nephrocare India celebrated its fourth anniversary with a large-scale walkathon dubbed "Walk for Health, Walk for Your Kidneys," emphasising the message that modest lifestyle changes can help avoid kidney disease. With almost 1,000 participants, the event emphasised the significance of 30 minutes of vigorous walking every day to preserve renal function, control blood sugar, and improve heart fitness. The walkathon started at Nephrocare and ended at CD Park. Several eminent personalities attended the event, including Dr Pratim Sengupta,
Founder and Director of Nephrocare; Leander Paes, International Tennis Icon; Priyanka Sarkar, Actress; Piyali Basak, Mountaineer; Aneesh Sarkar, DCP Bidhannagar; Ashish Mittal, Director of Golden Tulip Hotel; and many others. Speaking to the media, Dr Pratim Sengupta, Nephrologist and Founder & Director of Nephrocare India Ltd, stated that four years is not only a milestone; it is a reaffirmation of their dedication to preventive and holistic kidney care. Most kidney illnesses are avoidable. Simple interventions, like as daily brisk walking, can significantly lower risk. Through efforts like this walkathon, they hope to empower people to take control of their health before disease sets in.
