News Desk, News Nation 360 : A lively literary and cultural adda was recently held in Kolkata, organised by Sandhya Prakashan, a traditional Bengali publishing firm, and presented by Regal Nexus, an event management company. The event was more than just a conversation; it also marked the publication of around 15 new books by up-and-coming authors from this generation, spanning a variety of subjects and imaginative genres. Renowned Netaji scholar Maitreyee Basu, prominent Punjabi researcher, writer, and organiser S.P. Singh, and distinguished author Nalini Bera officially released the books. Additionally, the Sharodiya (festive edition) of Jagrihi magazine, edited by Maitreyee Basu, was also unveiled at the event. In his address, Shankar Dutta remarked that in the past, book launches were a lively custom, particularly on Poila Boishakh and prior to Durga Puja. They wish to resurrect this practice in order to promote reading as a culture. He added that Regal Nexus intends to host more events of this nature in the future, with an equal emphasis on promoting up-and-coming authors and artists from the younger generation as well as outside of the corporate world.
