SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360: The Charubasana Art Gallery will host renowned artist and Santiniketan alumnus Sourav Ghosh's eagerly awaited second solo exhibition, Soray Sourave, from July 1st to July 7th, 2026. Sourav, a printmaking postgraduate from Kala Bhavana (1991) and the son of renowned artist Nandalal Bose's pupil Nani Gopal Ghosh, has spent the last ten years developing a unique modern style by fusing the elaborate visual geometry of Santiniketan's alpana with traditional Sora (earthen disc) art. Nearly 100 priceless artworks that honour Bengali folk traditions through tasteful motifs, exquisite craftsmanship, and harmonious colour schemes intended for contemporary settings are on display in the exhibition. In a moving tribute to Bengal's living cultural legacy, the official inauguration will take place on Wednesday, July 1st, 2026, at 6:00 PM, with veteran actor Chiranjit Chakraborty as Chief Guest, Rabindrasangeet exponent Smt. Rajashree Bhattacharya and Alpana artist Bidhan Biswas. The venue will be open to the public every day from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
