South Point Celebrates Academic Excellence at Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony

The blockbuster event was graced by Dr Indranil Khan, Hon'ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Youth Services & Sports and Consumer Affairs, Government of West Bengal, who attended as a proud South Point graduate to deliver the top honours to exceptional students from Classes II to XII. High School Principal Jaidev Ghosh, Trustee S.K. Daga, and South Point Education Society Directors A.C. Chakraborty and Rupa Sanyal Bhattacherjee presented the M. P. Birla Special Talent Award and the coveted M. P. Birla Smarak Kosh Founder's Medal for Best All-Rounder. Dumdum Park Tarun Sangha received the Puja with a Heart Award for their outstanding social service project, highlighting the institution's emphasis on civic empathy. The celebration concluded with two spectacular, original student theatrical productions: a magical rendition of Aladdin by the junior school, and an impactful, timely contemporary play titled Lost Pages by the senior students, which brilliantly scrutinised the youth's growing addiction to digital screens while inspiring children to unplug and rediscover the timeless, imaginative joy of physical reading.
