News Desk, News Nation 360 : "ITI: The Beginning," the debut short film of renowned career counsellor and first-time director Abhishake De Sarkar, continued its incredible journey across esteemed platforms with a special screening at the 11th Bengal Short Film Festival. Along with other members of the cast and crew, renowned actresses Debleena Dutt and Biswanath Basu graced the occasion. ITI: The Beginning, the first short film by career coach turned filmmaker Abhishake De Sarkar, has gotten a lot of attention for looking at the empty spaces in modern families. The film premiered at the 6th International Kolkata Short Film Festival (IKSFF 2026). Got nominated in two big categories. It also won the Debutant Director award for Sarkar. The film then went on to win the Best Short Film title at the Indo-Dubai International Festival. It was also officially selected for the New York Film & Cinematography Awards and the Berlin Lift-Off Film Festival. The film stars known actors Debleena Dutt and Biswanath Basu. It is about a child who grows up in a home where work is more important than family. Recently ITI: The Beginning was shown at the 11th Bengal Short Film Festival. The director, Abhishake De Sarkar, said that the story is like a mirror for people who are busy with work. He wants people to find a balance between doing at work and taking care of their kids at home. The film ITI: The Beginning really makes you think about family and work.
