News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Spell-a-Thon Olympiads Grand Finale 2024–25 Gala Prize Distribution Ceremony was proudly hosted by SPELL-A-THON OLYMPIADS (MyCoolQ.com). In front of proud parents, school administrators, and coordinators from more than 50 top schools, this esteemed event honoured the exceptional accomplishments of more than 700 winners from 78+ schools around West Bengal. The occasion was graced by Janaki Venkatramani, Founder of Spell-a-Thon Olympiads, together with Anjana Mallick, veteran educationist and Chief Academic Advisor, and esteemed mentors Sanghamitra Mukherjee and Mittra Sinha Roy, both highly experienced domain experts with over four decades in the education field. This year's Spell-a-Thon Olympiads were warmly received by more than 5,800 Kindergarten to Class XII students, with competitions held across three venues over four intense days. The activities commenced at Asian International School, Howrah, on 22nd June 2025, moved to Gokhale Memorial Girls' School, Kolkata, on 28th and 29th June, and finally concluded with the finals on 13th July 2025 at Techno India Group Public School, Hooghly (Chinsurah). Students participated in a series of fun-filled and mentally challenging English grammar and vocabulary exercises. In contrast to conventional contests, the Olympiads involved no preparation or memorisation since there was no set syllabus or preparatory course materials; rather, test-takers were graded on critical thinking, instant application of what was learned, and original application of language. The contest was aimed to be both informative and enjoyable, developing intellectual inquisitiveness and an enthusiasm for English. Winners were given trophies, certificates, cash awards, and other thrilling prizes, making it a celebratory occasion surrounded by joy, pride, and inspiration as champions were acknowledged on stage for their exceptional performance. Janaki Venkatramani, Founder, Spell-a-Thon Olympiads, stated that she wanted to establish a platform where kids could go beyond memorisation and genuinely enjoy language when she started Spell-a-Thon Olympiads. They have been able to develop young minds, honour their originality, and motivate them to become self-assured and expressive learners thanks to the leadership of distinguished mentors and decades of combined educational experience.
