News Desk, News Nation 360 : The dedicated sports over-the-top (OTT) platform Shrachi Sports Entertainment Network (SSEN) has formally submitted its proposal for the broadcasting rights of the FIFA World Cup 2026 and 2030, demonstrating both ambition and vision. The bid, which is estimated to be around USD 2 million (Rs 18–20 crores), underlines SSEN's goal to change the way that international football is viewed by viewers in India and the subcontinent. The audacious plan adds to SSEN's growing collection of elite sports properties. The Calcutta Football League and the I-League are among the major tournaments that the network now streams. Furthermore, SSEN is the first to stream the German Handball Bundesliga and the Women's Bundesliga, demonstrating its legitimacy as a platform that provides large audiences with access to both Indian and worldwide athletic events. SSEN plans to stream both tournaments in their entirety for free if they are granted. Millions of fans in Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Nepal, India, and the Maldives would be able to witness the biggest athletic event in the world without having to pay for a subscription or face any other obstacles, thanks to this innovative strategy. Tamal Ghosal, Chairman, Shrachi Sports, stated that the bid is more than just a commercial decision; it is a pledge to promote inclusivity and change how football is watched in the area going forward. They are democratising access to the game and creating the groundwork for a lasting legacy that will inspire future generations by providing fans with free streaming of the FIFA World Cup.
