SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360 : Sunfeast Mom's Enchantment hosts a thought-provoking panel discussion with leaders and experts, such as actor Jaya Ahsan, actor Mandira Bedi, filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, Soumeta Medhora, Secretary of the Indian Society for Sponsorship and Adoption (ISSA), and Shuvadip Banerjee, Chief Digital Marketing Officer, ITC Foods, to encourage candid dialogue about adoption. ITC's Sunfeast Mom's Magic, a beloved cookie brand, has always celebrated mothers. This year, it is promoting awareness and encouraging adoption in India. The brand wants to challenge societal biases against adoptive mothers. It strives for them to receive equal respect and acceptance. Despite growing awareness, adoption in India still faces stigma. Many people judge motherhood only through biological ties. This denies many children and
women unconditional love. The brand believes every child deserves a mother's love, regardless of genetic links. It is vital to break myths and inhibitions about adoption. To highlight this issue, Mom's Magic held a panel discussion in Kolkata. The discussion focused on 'Normalising and Encouraging Adoption in India'. The panel included Soumeta Medhora from ISSA, actor Mandira Bedi, Shuvadip Banerjee from ITC Foods, filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury, and actor Jaya Ahsan. They had a heartfelt conversation about breaking stereotypes and nurturing inclusion. They also discussed the role of authorities and NGOs in facilitating adoption. They shared personal stories, too. Mandira Bedi shared her personal experience as an adoptive mother. She spoke about facing societal bias and questions. She emphasised that love has no conditions. She values brands like Mom's Magic
for starting these conversations. These efforts help society move past outdated stereotypes. This ensures every child receives a mother's love. The event also featured a powerful poem called "Dil Se Maa." This poem beautifully conveys the depth, resilience, and devotion of mothers, especially adoptive mothers. It served as a poignant reminder that motherhood is built on love, not biology. Speaking on the occasion, Shuvadip Banerjee, Chief Digital Marketing Officer, ITC -Foods Division, stated that they have always supported honouring the remarkable force of a mother's love. With this significant partnership with the movie Dear Maa, they hope to raise awareness of adoption and show support for all mothers who bring magic into a child's life, regardless of how that cherished journey starts. By working together, they want to encourage more tolerance, understanding, and acceptance of all types of motherhood.
