News Desk, News Nation 360 : United Kolkata Sports Club (UKSC) Academy announced the official commencement of its grassroots football program for youngsters aged 4 to 18 at Salt Lake GD Ground in Kolkata. Designed as a curriculum-based, age-appropriate, professionally run training ecosystem, the program aspires to establish UKSC Academy as one of Kolkata's most forward-thinking and progressive junior football institutions. The launch was marked by a large football festival attended by children, parents, dignitaries, footballers, and members of the media. Guests could also participate in a high-tea interaction with the academy's leadership, instructors, and young players. Northeast India. At the launch, 3 trophies were also handed over by the dignitaries on stage to the coaches, which included the Kanyashree Cup Premier B Champions Trophy, the Indian Football Association, West Bengal (I.F.A.), IFA Club Futsal Championship 2025 Runners Up. UKSC Academy, supported by Techno India Group, has initiated a holistic grassroots football development program for kids in the age group of 4–18 years at Salt Lake Ground in Kolkata. It bases its structured 5-corner development model on the demands of modern football—technical, tactical, physical, mental, and social. Under the guidance of Yan Law, one of India's youngest AFC Pro Licence coaches, and other licensed professionals comprising former players, the program proposes 2–3 weekly sessions with a 1:15 coach-to-player ratio, age-specific batches, quarterly evaluations with report cards, participation in local leagues, and interactions with first-team athletes over nutrition and mental conditioning. Functioning on child-friendly pitches, the UKSC Academy would carve out clear pathways for the talented players into national and international tournaments and elite clubs, apart from using Techno India's widespread network to form decentralised hubs all over West Bengal for the purpose of training, talent scouting, and engagement with the community.
