SERVES FOR NATION

News Desk. News Nation 360: "Read, Create & Earn," a ground-breaking community service project started by Hindusthan Club, aims to empower about 350 impoverished youngsters from The Refuge in Kolkata. The program's multi-stage concept starts with literacy, where kids between the ages of five and eighteen utilise English newspapers to improve their communication abilities and current events awareness. The program changes into a livelihood project in the second phase,
teaching kids how to make eco-friendly paper handbags out of the newspapers they read. Club members and the general public then buy these handmade goods, fostering early financial and business knowledge. Club President Sri Sanjay Goenka and Hony. Jt. Secretary Sri Saurabh Shah emphasised that the project goes beyond traditional aid by connecting education with useful, long-lasting skills, thereby helping the young participants develop a feeling of pride and independence.
