News Desk, News Nation 360 : Recently, the successful completion of the official curtain raiser for HOPECON'25, the much-awaited fourth edition of India's most extensive and multidisciplinary medical conference, in Kolkata. An important prelude to the major conference, "The Complete Conference for Comprehensive Care," which is scheduled for June 27–29, 2025, was recognised by the event. The Kolkata Nurture Foundation, along with UNI Edu Health and Valmiki Healthcare, organised a curtain raiser event, generating anticipation for the soon-to-be-held HOPECON'25. One key announcement was a new medical education initiative. This initiative has been modelled on a leading UK medical college. This will introduce globally applicable learning in Indian medical education. This is intended to enhance standards and access to global best practices. A renowned panel heads the conference. This comprises Dr. Sukumar Mukherjee (Organising President), Dr. Payodhi Dhar (Founder & President), Dr. Apurba Kumar Mukherjee (Co-Founder and Organising Chairman), Dr. Pradip Kumar Mitra (Managing Director and Convenor), and Dr. Gautam Saha (Organising Secretary). Dr. Arup Kumar Kundu and Dr. Rana Bhattacharjee will take charge of scientific deliberations. The academic effort has four pillars of strength: Dr. Raja Dhar (Academic Director), Dr. Anjan Adhikari (Research Director & Editor), and Dr. Upal Sengupta and Dr. Soumitra Ghosh (joint organising secretaries). Several national medical personalities are backing this mission for universal health care, such as Dr. M. K. Das (Cardiology), Dr. T. K. Dolai (Haematology), and Dr. Swarnabindu Banerjee (Medical Oncology). Dr. Arunansu Talukdar (Geriatrician) and Dr. Tirthankar Dasgupta (Psychiatrist) are steering the programme. HOPECON'25 shall be a large academic conference encompassing more than 37 fields of medicine and healthcare. They include Medicine, Cardiology, and Diabetes, to AI in medicine, Biomedical Research, and Public Health Policy. The conference will include workshops, competitions, debates, and panel discussions to foster learning and teamwork. Participants will learn by doing and pick up tips from national and international experts.
