News Desk, News Nation 360 : The Lions Club of Kolkata Grand, District 322B1, wrapped up Lionathon 2.0 - We Serve Walk to Serve today with a remarkable display of solidarity and community participation. The event drew approximately 1,500 participants, including students, older residents, fitness groups, business teams, special needs children and volunteers who were all united by a common goal: to raise awareness and support for children fighting childhood cancer. The walkathon began in Deshapriya Park and took a predetermined path via significant city intersections such as Southern Avenue, Golpark Crossing, Gariahat, and Sarat Bose Road, ending at Lions Children Corner. Participants held signs, chants, and messages asking for early cancer detection, preventive healthcare, and community support. Gracing the event as the Chief Guest, Lion A.P. Singh, International President, Lions Clubs International, commended the initiative and shared that Lionathon 2.0 is a strong symbol of inclusivity, compassion, and social responsibility. On that day, more than 1,500 people of all ages and abilities walked together to support children fighting cancer. This Marathon not only encourages fitness and solidarity, but also provides critical cash to improve treatment and care for young patients. His heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, supporters, and participants for coming together for such an important cause.
