The Sancheti Foundation opens Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan's "Annapurna Bhandar"

News Desk, News Nation 360: Recently, Srimat Swami Divyananda ji Maharaj, Vice-President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur, opened Annapurna Bhandar, a contemporary and energy-efficient communal kitchen, at Ramakrishna Mission Seva Pratishthan, Kolkata. The Sancheti Foundation's CSR project, the recently renovated facility, is a major infrastructure improvement for the well-known nonprofit hospital that serves more than 5000 meals a day to patients, physicians, nursing students, and staff. Former Rajya Sabha MP Ajay Sancheti, CMD of

Hindustan Copper Limited, Sanjiv Kumar Singh, and Sancheti family members, including Bharti Sancheti, attended the opening. Ajay Sancheti reiterated the foundation's philosophy of supporting compassionate institutions and announced plans for future kitchen renovations across other Ramakrishna Mission centres, while Swami Nityakamananda ji Maharaj, Secretary of the medical institute, emphasised that the kitchen is a symbol of dignity and devoted service. The hospital has prioritised sustainability and hygiene by switching to an advanced induction cooking system, guaranteeing a dependable food supply chain for underserved areas in the face of global energy concerns.
