Vichar Manch Honours Distinguished Individuals in Various Fields

News Desk, News Nation 360: A prestigious felicitation function took place at SPK Jain Futuristic Academy in New Town, Kolkata, organised by Vichar Manch on March 15, 2026. The function honoured prominent personalities in various fields for their contributions to society. Industrialist and social worker Hariprasad Budhia presided over the function. Usha Uthup was honoured with the prestigious Sardarmal Kankaria Lifetime Achievement Award, and Late Sohanlal Singhvi was honoured with the prestigious Sohanlal Dugad Bhamashah Samman. Other prominent people honoured during the function included Jaswant Singh Mehta, honoured with the prestigious Karmayogi Samman; Monika Gaur, honoured with the prestigious Kanhaiyalal Sethia Sahitya Samman; Ravindra Jain Sangeet Sadhana Samman winner Maruti Mohata, and Piyali Basak, winner of the prestigious Kisanlal Kankaria Shaurya Samman. Other winners included Adarsh Agrawal, honoured with the prestigious Kanhaiyalal Malu Vidyalaya Gaurav Samman, Abhijit Mahto, honoured with the prestigious Brahmi Kala Samman, and Anvi Daga, honoured with the prestigious Anupama Samman. She won a garland, a shawl, a memento, and a cash prize. The function commenced with a welcome address by Joint Secretary Dr. Tara Dugar. There were cultural performances by Trisha Bhansali and Anvi Daga. Social workers, writers, and other prominent people, including President Sarder Mul Kankariya and Vice President Padma Chand Nahata, were in attendance. The function came to a close with a vote of thanks by Vice President Dr Premshankar Tripathi.
