SERVES FOR NATION
News Desk, News Nation 360 : By agreeing to use Ericsson's (NASDAQ: ERIC) core network portfolio to support Bharti Airtel's expansion of Fixed Wireless Access (FWA) services in India, the two companies have strengthened their long-standing partnership. By improving Airtel's fundamental capabilities and Fixed Wireless Access capacity, the deployment will improve the user experience for Airtel FWA customers. This deal builds upon a collaboration spanning over 25 years and encompassing several generations of mobile technology. Ericsson and Bharti Airtel have reaffirmed their shared commitment to enabling India's digital future with this most recent partnership. Randeep Sekhon, CTO, Bharti Airtel, stated that the purpose of this strategy deployment is to meet the ever-increasing demands for consumer data while maintaining reliable performance and uninterrupted connectivity, especially during periods of high demand. This rollout is an additional phase in their partnership with Ericsson's ongoing success, showcasing their combined capacity to use cutting-edge technology to improve the overall customer experience. Ericsson is launching a new platform as part of this arrangement that will provide greater capacity with a smaller footprint and a lower total cost of ownership. The solution expands upon the previously disclosed dual-mode 5G Core solution agreement between Ericsson and Airtel for 5G packet core, which supported Airtel's transition to 5G Standalone (SA) by establishing a unified and future-ready network architecture.
