News Desk, News Nation 360 : Recently in Kolkata, BIBS and the NHRDN Kolkata Chapter successfully organised the HR Leadership Summit 2025 against the backdrop of AI transforming the workplace and hybrid models changing organisational dynamics. Some of the most well-known HR leaders, practitioners, and thought leaders in the nation came together for the summit to lay out the course for HR leadership in a business environment that is changing quickly. The ceremony was made much more significant by the presence of Snehasis Chakraborty, the Hon'ble Cabinet Minister for Transport, Government of West Bengal. Sharing his thoughts, Vidur Kapoor, Chairman – BIBS, stated that their ongoing goal at BIBS is to make sure that management education is relevant to real-world issues rather than being limited to classroom settings. This idea is reflected in the HR Leadership Summit, which brings together leading HR executives to discuss AI, hybrid models, and future-ready leadership. By doing so, they are equipping their students and industry stakeholders to succeed in workplaces that are changing more quickly than ever before. The conference began with a keynote speech by Prabir Jha, Founder & CEO, Prabir Jha People Advisory, who outlined the changing role of HR in his speech called "HR Space Beyond Tomorrow." He pointed out that with AI, automation, and digital-first cultures gaining momentum, HR needs to shift from mundane transactional tasks to a strategic force driving innovation, agility, and a people-first culture. The opening panel, "Mastering People Leadership in a Hybrid World," had industry leaders such as George Thomas (CHRO, MISP Steel), Kassiopea Chaudhuri (Associate Director HR, IBM), Rashmita Parija (Head HR, Lexmark), Subrata

The second panel, "Future Ready or Left Behind: The Urgency of Upskilling in the Age of AI," discussed the vital necessity of ongoing reskilling to remain competitive in the face of AI-fostered change, with observations provided by Megha Chhabra (GM & Global HR Head – Cyber Security & Risk Services, Wipro), Prapti Lodh Roy (Managing Director Human Capital, PwC India), and Suman Banerjee (CHRO, ABP Pvt. Ltd.), and chaired by Sagorika Sanyal (VP – Talent Management, Apseconnect), and emphasizing that companies adopting learning and digital literacy will succeed whereas others will risk becoming obsolete.
