News Desk, News Nation 360 : Together, the Flipkart Foundation and Cankids Kidscan have started the 'Nourishing Hope' initiative, which aims to give children with cancer nutritional support. Five hospitals, including SSKM Hospital, Calcutta Medical College, and Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute in Kolkata, have implemented this program in Delhi and Kolkata. Regarding this collaboration, Sara Gideon, Vice President – Corporate Affairs, Flipkart, stated that the Flipkart Foundation recognises the tremendous obstacles that children with cancer and their families must overcome. Regaining physical strength and coping with the demands of treatment depend heavily on nutrition. By working together with Cankids Kidscan, they hope to lessen the strain on these kids who have cancer and make sure they get the nourishment and attention they so sorely require. Food is only one aspect of this cooperation; other goals include promoting healing, protecting the dignity of those in need, and supporting those who most need their help. More than 750 children with cancer, ages 0 to 19, will benefit from this program by receiving nutrient-dense ration packages and necessary diet regimens by physician recommendations. The main objective is to provide nutritional care in addition to treatment, as this will help the kids recover more quickly and live better overall. It is also anticipated that this project will lower the likelihood that patients will need to be admitted to the hospital more than once.
