Prasad, along with Functional Directors and CVO, paid floral tributes at the Martyrs Memorial to kick off the 76th Republic Day celebrations at the Coal India corporate office in Kolkata. After that, the CIL Chairman examined the guard of honour and raised the national flag. In attendance were Achyut Ghatak, Director of Business Development; Debasish Nanda, Director of Marketing; Mukesh Choudhary, Director of Finance; Mukesh Agrawal, Director of Technical; and Brajesh Kumar Tripathy, Chief Vigilance Officer. Additionally, the Chairman introduced the 17th edition of "Koyla Darpan. P.M. Prasad stressed Coal India's dedication to guarantee the country's energy independence in his speech. To fulfil the nation's increasing energy needs and lessen dependency

on coal imports, he emphasised the necessity of increasing coal output. India is on track to produce more than 1 billion tonnes of coal this year, he continued, with Coal India accounting for almost 70% of that total. He emphasised that CIL continues to make a substantial contribution in terms of absolute numbers and that their goal is unwavering: as long as India needs coal, Coal India will continue to supply the country's needs and work to reach production goals.
