News Desk, News Nation 360 : As advised by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC), Doctors' Choice, a reputable brand in Eastern India's cooking oil market, launched a comprehensive Food Safety & Hygiene Initiative for street food vendors throughout the city in partnership with Bharat Chamber of Commerce as the training partner. This collaborative effort demonstrates a solid alliance between business, academics, and local government to improve community-based food safety procedures in the city. In the presence of Haripada Bhowmik, Food Historian; Dhinal Brahmbhatt, Chief Business Officer, Doctors' Choice; Shivam Agarwal, Head-Marketing & Strategy, Doctors' Choice; Shiladitya Chaudhury, Foodpreneur & Founder-Director, Oudh 1590, Chapter 2 & Chaudhury & Co.; Rudrani Mitra, Assistant Secretary & Coordinator, FOSTAC Program, Bharat Chamber of Commerce; and Dominic Lee Pou, Managing Director, Pou Chong Food Products. Additionally, a branded awareness tableau was launched, signalling the start of a citywide
outreach campaign aimed at encouraging vendors and residents to support organised food safety regulations. Dhinal Brahmbhatt, Chief Business Officer, Doctors’ Choice, stated that the incredible diversity of Kolkata's street food culture, which serves as the financial foundation for thousands of families and continues to be an essential component of the city's character, is a sign of the city's pride and symbolises the legacy and influence of diverse populations throughout history. By providing vendors with useful, scalable solutions that improve hygiene standards, foster customer trust, and promote long-term business growth, their effort forcefully pushes beyond awareness to systematic implementation.
