News Desk, News Nation 360 : The PGDM in "Entrepreneurship for Tech Startups," an AICTE-approved management program, was announced today in Bengaluru by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), India's leading institution in entrepreneurship education. The program's goal is to enable tech professionals with entrepreneurial learning, mentorship, and venture-building support to help turn their high-potential ideas into profitable startups. The recently launched Tech Startups specialisation focuses on expanding industries such as FinTech, EdTech, HealthTech, AI-based companies, and scalable digital initiatives. Its practical design aims to give prospective business owners the skills they need to discover ideas, evaluate viability, construct a business plan, develop products, prepare for funding, and develop go-to-market strategies. The Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India offers a two-year PGDM in Entrepreneurship, a pathbreaking program initiated in 1998 that offers MBA equivalence. The program, with its established alumni network of more than 2,200, 79% of whom are actively running their businesses, follows a milestone-based approach to education. This allows students to start their ventures during the course, with the support of mentoring, industry exposure, and incubation through the Centre for Advancing and Launching Enterprises, or CrADLE, at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India. The program offers specialisations in New Enterprise Creation, Family Business Management, Social Entrepreneurship, and the newly introduced Tech Startups program. The Tech Startups program focuses on catering to the needs of tech professionals, early-stage founders, and innovation-driven graduates aiming to build digital-first ventures. Along with the academic support, the program provides seed grants to students based on the accomplishment of specific milestones, ensuring discipline in execution and implementation. Accredited by the NBA and approved by the AICTE, the program stands out as one of the most focused academic routes in the country for entrepreneurship education, with the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India empowering the next generation of job creators in the country through its academic program that combines the fundamentals of business with the practical support of incubation and execution. D. Sunil Shukla, Director General, EDII, stated that they felt that this would be the ideal location to start their specialisation in tech startups because Bengaluru is the centre of India's technological activities and Karnataka is seeing a startup boom. Today's youth are choosing entrepreneurship as a purpose-driven career path, and EDII is dedicated to offering a clear path for entrepreneurship development that can contribute to the country's progress in the ensuing ten or so years and realise the aspiration of a developed India by 2047.
