News Desk, News Nation 360 : Under the sponsorship of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eurobank and the Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) jointly organised the first India–Greece–Cyprus Business Forum, which took place in Athens. To foster cross-border trade, investment, and economic cooperation, the event brought together 30 business executives from Greece and India and officially launched the India-Greece-Cyprus (IGC) Business Investment Council. In an environment that emphasises shared economic opportunities and fosters corporate expansion, the Forum sought to further solidify collaboration and fortify the strong strategic links that exist between India, Greece, and Cyprus. The India-Greece Business Forum was recently organised at the National Art Gallery - Alexandros Soutsos Museum in Athens, Greece. The forum centred on major sectors such as infrastructure, tourism, shipping, startups, technology, food and beverage, and financial services. The forum aimed to bring together business leaders from India who wish to do business in or already have a presence in the Greek and Cypriot markets, and their Greek counterparts, to explore possibilities of mutual growth. The forum included two panel sessions, the first on the IGC Council's vision and strategy and the second on existing business operations and investment experience, with representatives from organisations including ICC, SEV, Enterprise Greece, Fairfax Digital, LTIMindtree, GMR Airports, and Coffee Island. A second forum intended to increase trilateral trade collaboration under the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) was scheduled to take place in Limassol, Cyprus, on May 16, 2025. Eurobank CEO Fokion Karavias highlighted the strategic role of the forum and the bank’s commitment to international market connectivity and stated that during a time of swift economic and geopolitical changes, the creation of the India–Greece–Cyprus Business Council helps to strengthen commercial ties between the three nations. India's natural entry points into Europe are Greece and Cyprus, and Eurobank is dedicated to facilitating that shift.
