News Desk, News Nation 360 : Karnataka Tourism strengthened its strategic focus on Eastern India as a major source market for tourists by conducting a dynamic roadshow at Fairfield by Marriott in Kolkata. The occasion was a major step in presenting Karnataka's diverse appeal—which includes tradition, nature, adventure, and gastronomy—to a highly interested group of regional travel industry leaders and professionals. Dr. Rajendra K V, IAS, Commissioner – Karnataka Tourism, led the delegation of Karnataka Stakeholders and spotlighted the state’s strategic tourism initiatives. He stated that their goal is to make Karnataka a premier travel destination in both the domestic and foreign markets. The Eastern tourism industry's reaction shows how popular customised,

genuine, and sustainable travel experiences are becoming. The roadshow provided an in-depth interaction platform. It established substantial rapport between Karnataka's tourism industry players and leading tour operators, travel agents, and association members in Kolkata and the surrounding regions. Participants experienced Karnataka's diversified travel options. These included the historic Hampi, Mysuru, and Badami, the tranquil getaways of Coorg, Chikmagalur, and Kabini, and the spiritual pilgrimages of Shravanabelagola, Udupi, and Dharmasthala. Furthermore, Bengaluru's city and tech destinations were also highlighted. The conference had one-on-one networking sessions and in-depth destination presentations. Karnataka Tourism highlighted its commitment towards responsible tourism. It introduced initiatives highlighting green practices, rural tourism, and experiential travel. Travellers liked the in-depth information about circuits of travel, infrastructure development, and future packages, specifically for evolving traveller choices. The showcase not only raised awareness of Karnataka's popular locations but also showcased unknown gems ideal for niche tourism segments. The Kolkata roadshow is a part of Karnataka Tourism's national outreach initiative. The initiative focuses on enhancing market presence and trade relationships throughout India.
