Launch of Dharma, Darshan O Samaj by Philosopher Krishnachandra Bhattacharyya

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Known philosopher Krishnachandra Bhattacharyya's unpublished Bengali works were collected into a book called Dharma, Darshan O Samaj, which was presented at Jadavpur University's H.L. Roy Auditorium. Prabal Kumar Sen, a former professor in the University of Calcutta's Philosophy Department, gave the book its formal debut. Professor Nirmalya Narayan Chakraborty, Vice-Chancellor of Presidency University, has painstakingly edited the book by gathering Bhattacharyya's manuscripts. The Bhaktivedanta Research Centre and Dey's Publishing collaborated on its publication. Krishanachandra Bhattacharyya, a 20th-century Indian philosopher and the fifth George Professor of Philosophy at the University of Calcutta, is known for the insightful essays he wrote in Bengali and English,

explicating Hinduism's role in Indian philosophy, the necessity for both religious and social reform, and the philosophical depth of the Bhagavad Gita; a new publication, which shows his thoughts on society and religion, has come out in praise of Professor Nirmalya Narayan Chakraborty for providing easy explanations of complicated issues, thus making Bhattacharyya's writings highly relevant for contemporary audiences; further approbation came from Dr Sumanta Rudra of the Bhaktivedanta Research Center that is preserving and digitizing Indian philosophical manuscripts for being a very valuable contribution to Indian philosophical literature, with Professor Amita Chatterjee-previous vice-chancellor of Presidency University-adding immense detail in expounding on what is actually in the book.
