News Desk, News Nation 360 : Merlin Group is debuting for the State Youth Football League 2024-25 of IFA this year. Club Pavilion has been certified by the Indian Football Association (IFA) and is playing in the U-13 and U-15 divisions for the first time. Approximately 39 academies and clubs will participate in the U-13 and U-15 State Youth Football League, with the top 12 teams advancing to the Super Six Round Robin League, and the top teams of that round will advance to the semi-finals. In its maiden game in the Indian Football Association's under-13 State Youth League, Merlin Club Pavilion, owned by the renowned real estate giant Merlin Group, defeated Adamas University SA 2-1. Thirty-nine clubs and academies are taking part in the U-13 and U-15 State Youth League 2024-25 by IFA. The league format has teams competing in groups, and the top 12 teams go through to the Super Six Round Robin League. For the U-13 age group, with two groups of 10 and 9 teams respectively, the top three from each group qualify for the Super Six, then semi-finals and a final between the top four from the Super Six, and a third-place match; all U-13 matches are 9-a-side. The U-15 category also consists of two groups of 10 teams each, with the first three of each group making it into the Super Six and the first two of the Super Six contesting the final. Merlin Club Pavilion will play in Group 2 of the U-13 category and Group 1 of the U-15 category. All home games of the Merlin Club Pavilion will be played at the football field of Merlin Rise. Merlin Rise is a housing complex on the Rajarhat Expressway in Kolkata, a "Sports Republic" of Eastern India's first kind, with a mix of living and sporting facilities. Club Pavilion, situated in Merlin Rise, is a recreational and sports complex with academies such as the Yuvraj Singh Centre of Excellence and Ronaldinho's R10 Academy, providing sports activities and conducting community events.
