News Desk, News Nation 360 : By winning several important titles in August and September and being promoted to the DSSA Durgapur Football League's First Division for the next season, Shyam Metalics Football Academy (SMFA) has demonstrated its supremacy in grassroots football. In the DSSA Durgapur 2nd Division Football League Championship final, SMFA defeated Durgapur Hrishi Aurobindo Pally RC, earning a spot in the 1st Division for the following season. This historic victory highlights the Academy's increasing power and reliability. SMFA was declared Champion of the Sri Sri Sarada Santan Sangha Memorial Football Tournament in Suri, Birbhum, with a convincing 3–0 victory over SBSTC Recreation Club, Durgapur, where Sachin Bauri was declared Man of the Final, Rohit Kora Best Goalkeeper, Biswajeet Kisku Best Defender, and Bibek Bauri Player of the Tournament, while previously on 14th September during the Bankim Chandra Memorial Gold Cup in Ukhra, SMFA achieved a Championship title by beating Dakshinkhanda Sports Association 1–0 with a decisive strike by Samir Soren, and Abhishek Limbu and Bhima Kumar Pahan were declared Man of the Match and Man of the Tournament respectively, with the final witnessed by former Indian footballer Dippendu Biswas, and previously on 21st August 2025 the team won the 62nd Sri Sri Satyananda Memorial Shield Football Tournament at Dubrajpur, Birbhum, by winning a hard-fought 1–0 victory over a strong JISU XI with professional and foreign players, as Kartik Hansda got the winning goal and was declared Man of the Final, an amazing month for SMFA that showcased both their depth and consistency in various championships. Commenting on the achievements, S.K. Maity, Plant Head, Shyam Metalics, Jamuria Unit, stated that for the whole of West Bengal, this is a moment of pride. Their boys have demonstrated that local talent can compete with the finest. Bengali grassroots football is thriving, and they're determined to make it even better. These triumphs strengthen their conviction that supporting amateur football may produce India's future professional talents. To give these kids the chance to play at the top levels of Indian football, they will keep offering them top-notch instruction and exposure.
