Tata Capital's Social Projects Improve the Lives of More Than a Million Indians

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Over 1 million people in India were reached by Tata Capital, the financial services division of the Tata Group, which claimed further progress in its social impact programs for FY25. The organisation concentrated its efforts on important sectors like education, healthcare, renewable energy, and water conservation. The company, in its FY25 Annual Report, stressed its multi-thematic social impact efforts under the ethos of being a 'responsible financial partner in enabling India's aspirations' and integrating social and environmental priorities into its business strategy, as per the values of the Tata Group. The JalAadhar flagship water conservation program covered more than 200 villages across Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu, developing a water harvesting capacity of more than 2,500 million litres, treating over 790 water bodies, benefiting over 540,000 individuals, lifting the groundwater level by an average of 5.5 meters, and enhancing farmer revenues by approximately INR 30,000. The Green Switch programme enabled access to clean energy by means of solar power in 19 villages, impacting about 7,500 people and lighting up over 1,200 homes, with collective impact covering 99 villages and over 20,000 individuals, increasing entrepreneurs' average yearly income by ~INR 40,000. Aarogyatara, dedicated to eliminating curable blindness, screened 610,000 individuals and supported more than 44,000 vision-restoring surgeries throughout the year, reaching a total of more than one million individuals and supporting 140,000+ surgeries. The Pankh scholarship program extended academic empowerment further by supporting over 12,000 young people to gain quality education, taking its impact to a total of more than 25,000 students in FY25.
