News Desk, News Nation 360 : The seventh version of Flipkart's flagship sale event, "Crafted by Bharat," will take place on January 26, 2024, which is India's 75th Republic Day. Flipkart is the country's online retailer. The purpose of the special event is to celebrate India's rich heritage and vibrant culture by showcasing a wide range of handicrafts and handlooms from nationally recognised brands. Over 1.76+ million livelihoods will be positively impacted by the event's active participation from numerous government and private brands in addition to local businesses from different regions of the nation. The participation of thousands of artists, weavers, people with disabilities, and women from Self-Help Groups (SHGs), NGOs, and government emporiums connected to the Flipkart Samarth programme is evidence of Flipkart's dedication to promoting inclusivity. These varied communities, which range from rural areas to tier-2 and tier-3 cities and urban centres, add to the event's rich cultural tapestry by exhibiting their distinct artistic goals and modes of expression. Expect outstanding value offers on a variety of products, giving customers a chance to interact and support India's rich cultural legacy. Commenting on the opportunities the event will provide, Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, Flipkart Group, said that they are excited to offer the Flipkart Samarth partners a platform to showcase their diverse product offerings and introduce the 500 million+ customer base to a range of India's rich historical culture during this sale event, all while celebrating India’s Republic Day. 'Crafted by Bharat', this Republic Day's theme, has been carefully chosen to highlight distinctive items with rich cultural histories and handwoven works of art from various areas, providing a taste of India's past. In the future, they hope to offer numerous such opportunities to support the MSMEs, women entrepreneurs, weavers, and artisans that make up the ecosystem. The event will showcase a variety of traditional art forms, including Bengali tand, Bhagarpuri from Bihar, Andhra Pradesh's Kalamkari, Chhattisgarh's Dokra, Madhya Pradesh's Gond, and over 300 other art forms, in honour of India's rich cultural legacy. Flipkart will have a special storefront on its platform for the 'Crafted by Bharat' sale event, with a focus on products by women sellers, to improve the shopping experience. This strategy seeks to recognise the distinctiveness and originality of female business owners in the industry. Additionally, from the last event, more than 250 new sellers were added this year, giving customers access to a greater selection.
