The Thrilling Grand Finale of Kolkata's Inaugural Biryani Eating Competition "The Biryani Man 2026" Concludes

News Desk, News Nation 360: In honour of its historic 85th anniversary, the renowned Shiraz Golden Restaurant successfully hosted the grand finale of "The Biryani Man 2026"—Kolkata's first-ever competitive biryani eating contest—at Hotel Siamton Inn Shiraz. Shahhanshah Mirza, the great-great-grandson of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah, along with Shiraz Partners Ishtiaque Ahmad, Akhtar Hasnain, and Dr Raghib Hasnain, competed under close medical supervision by Mediview Hospital. Participants had to pass a mandatory baseline level of two full plates in order to be eligible. Pramit Kumar Das, the ultimate winner, won 'The Biryani Man 2026' Crown and a coveted Lifetime Free Biryani Card that entitles him to a weekly gratis lunch at any Shiraz outlet after ingesting an astounding five plates of mutton biryani (around 3.5 kg).
