Unveiling the Poster for the Upcoming Bengali Horror Anthology Bhutopurbo

News Desk, News Nation 360 : Under the direction of Kakoli Ghosh and Avinab Mukherjee, "Bhutopurbo" is a Bengali horror anthology film under Indoshree Production that beautifully weaves three timeless stories together: Rabindranath Tagore's Monihara, Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay's Taranath Tantrik, and Manoj Sen's Shikar. A warm, celebrity-filled event in Kolkata, marked the unveiling of the first official poster for the Bengali horror anthology Bhutopurbo. Amrita Chattopadhyay, Sandipta Sen, Rupanjana Maitra, Satyam Bhattacharya, Saptarshi Maulik, and Suhotra Mukhopadhyay were among the film's amazing ensemble cast members who attended the ceremony to commemorate the start of this terrifying horror film. The movie seeks to bring back the essence of Bengali ghost stories with a contemporary cinematic touch. Key cast in Monihara is Satyam Bhattacharya as Phanibhushan and Amrita Chattopadhyay as Manimalika; Rupanjana Maitra as Matu Pagli and Saptarshi Maulik as Taranath Tantrik; and Sandipta Sen as Tilottoma and Suhotro Mukhopadhyay as Purnendu in the Shikar segment. "Bhutopurbo" will make a grand release in June 2025 and is likely to be a gripping addition to Bengali cinema's tradition of supernatural films. Kakoli Ghosh and Avinab Mukherjee, Co-Directors of the film, stated that Bhutopurbo pays respect to the rich legacy of Bengali ghost stories and is more than just a horror movie. They believe that by giving these timeless stories fresh life, they will simultaneously arouse curiosity, horror, and nostalgia. Working with such a skilled and driven ensemble group that gave this production their all left them feeling incredibly overwhelmed. They are certain that Bengali viewers would adore this collection of spooky stories since they are truly drawn to this particular kind of horror.
